Iver Johnson US Carbine 22LR

Working on this Iver, disassembled, cleaned and reassembled and it only shoots one round. Is there suppose to be a spring that holds the sear up? And possibly a sear spring plunger? It looks like there is no wear on the underside of the sear where there might be a spring that goes there. Any other ideas?

I am not familiar with those guns, except as a seller, but there has to be a sear spring to keep the sear engaged in the hammer until the trigger is pulled.

It is the one by Erma? If so, there is a spring on the bottom of the trigger, which rides on top of the sear. The trigger bar on top of the trigger, shows no spring.

I'm not sure if it is by Erma, but it looks like that one. Doesn't the firing pin piece ride on top the the sear?

The sear has an edge on it that catches the cocking piece on the end of the firing pin. Thus, really, this is striker-fired gun instead of a hammer fired like the real M-1 Carbine. The edge on the sear is where it folds over on top, and the back side.

That is awsome! I love those pictures! Now I know what I need! There is a spring and plunger under the sear. Where does a person find pictures like that? Are they available for other firearms?

The pics are screenshots from the video at the link provided. They were stop motions. The link has this, and other pics the author did using a 3D modeling cad app on a PC.
