Winchester 1300 defender barrels and mag ext
Sorry if this is a duplicate, but it is a little diff from the other thread.
I have a 1300 waterfowl w/ a five shot magazine. If I get a magazine tube extension, do I still need the 5-shot defender barrel or can I use the 8 shot barrel that has the ring nearer to the end of the barrel? Thanks.

If you install an extended magazine in your 1300, it will require that you install a barrel with a ring that will accomodate the longer magazine.

methinks you can go ahead and buy a choate extension with the existing barrel. i have an older 1300 defender with the barrel ring at the five shot mark, choate extension comes with a clamp for near the barrel end, and screws on the existing tube.
look at the picture here: http://bushmaster.com/shopping/swat/..._extension.asp |
