New 7mm atip
Has anyone tried the new Hornady 7mm 190gr atip? I saw that it is available at midsouth. Do you think it will beat the bc of the Berger 195?

No point in getting opinions when what you need is a fact. Just look them up on the Hornady and Berger web sites.
Edit: OK. Now I see it. They haven't published the BC's yet and haven't added the drag function to their 4 DOF calculator, either. I would just call Hornady and ask when that information will be available. I looked at scaling the BC's by sectional density differences, but it didn't work for the 30 cal's, so they aren't simply duplicating the nose and tail profiles. Each one has its own shape design. So calling Hornady is about all you can do, short of buying and testing them.

From what I have observed, Berger BC seems to be higher than published and Hornaday lower. So much depends on velocity that its hard to say which one will be more efficient in a particular rifle.

The BC of any bullet doesn't make enough difference for it to matter. However, in the reference chapter of your manual might have the formula for determining the Ballistic Coefficient. Needs a scientific calculator, as I recall.

I would say a definite NO, on that one Unclenick!
Thinking most of T.O.'s shooting is within 50 yards from previous posts.

Shoot a flat nose at 1000 yards and get back to me on that.
