Savage 24C series S

Well I got my 'survival' rifle!

When I was a kid I got as a present a Savage 24c 'Campers Companion' .22 lr on top and 20 gauge 2 3/4 on bottom.

Took a .45 ACP rear sight, filed it into a 'V' and that was the rear sight.

Well, being a dummy, I traded it off as years went by.

Just yesterday I spied another one!

This one though had the pistol grip version and the barrels were kept together what looks like silver solder (it's factory but to me it has to be done that way.)

This one though has the ability to take 3 inch shells. Came with the same kind of folding pack to hold the stock and barrel in to.

$299 + taxk was the deal!

Only question I have is, will a frip up marbles rear sight work so I can use the shotgun better?

Thanks,

Deaf

Yes. I just put a flip-up Marbles sight on a customer's 24 a few months ago.
