Frommer Stop (gun of the day)

Here's the big brother to my Baby Frommer, the unusual Stop pistol.

If you want to talk about Old World craftsmanship, those gun frames (like the Roth-Steyr) were milled and drilled out of one solid block of steel.

When planning gun production in WWII, a General Motors engineer visited Colt and watched them making .45 pistols. He told them, "You aren't making guns, you are making chips; guns are just a byproduct." He would have had fun in Budapest.
