H & K 91 Head Spacing

Having a new receiver installed on a demilled 91/G3 I picked up and wanted to know what the head spacing is for the assembly. Any tricks to putting the cocking tube and trunion back into a new receiver? Any play by play intructions for the tolerances prior to welding the different parts back together?

Also, since the receiver is new, it is unfinished and I will need to finish the gun. For a custom look, what do the members think would be a nice finish (would be for all metal pieces). I was thinking a nickle finish. Obviously would not look stock anymore but I now have a clone anyway. I will be getting the vintage wood stock from RTG so that is the backdrop of the unit.

Thanks
