A thought on the ACRO vs RMR: fit flush cover over emitter
The main advantage to the ACRO is that it is a closed housing allowing crud to be wiped off, while on the RMR the crud will get stuck on the emitter “nook”. Well couldn’t Trijicon just design the RMR with a flush emitter that can be wiped easily...perhaps put a flush glass cover over it? You don’t need water any more, now you can wipe the rmr with your fingers just like the ACRO while keeping the smaller footprint of the RMR. Simple fix. Call it RMR type 3

That or even a little clip on clear plastic hood that makes a triangle and seals the rmr from major debris? Or is that what you meant?
Like keep the same profile, just run a clear cover from the front lense to the back of the optic. |

Ha! Somebody already makes one. It might be junk but I bet somebody could come up with one that works if it is. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Strike-In...QJUaAlb38P8HAQ
