Don't underestimate the CB short. A guy I worked with had a cow moose chasing him around a tree and all he had was a .22 revolver loaded w/CB shorts. One shot behind the ear did her in. If the shot is well placed the yote will die quickly; if the shot isn't well placed the yote will still die.

Get a coyote sized live trap. Bait it with some wet dog or cat food or sardines. Kittens and small puppy's work to. You will most likely catch a bunch of critters cats and whatnot but you should catch enough coyotes to convince them to go elsewhere.
I started doing this when I had a racoon problem. Caught 3 racoons, 4 cats, and 2 oppossum. Don't see racoons anymore and the local stray cat population is down to 1 black cat that ignores the trap. Dallas Jack |
