Ways to determine bullet grain?
Is it possible to determine bullet weight when it is already in the round? Or do I have to use a puller to extract the bullet and weigh it that way? Thanks.

Unless you know that the weight of all the components is, there is enough variation in the weight of the case, primer and powder that it is hard to tell what the weight of the bullet is without pulling the bullet.

You can probably make an "educated" guess after weighing the entire cartridge.

G'day. You can increase your educated guess if you have a spent case. Then powder charts will give you an indication of powder charges for that round.
hmmm....I think that will just make it an educated guess. I know......Look on the packet.
