Are there any on the market that fit without the need for a gunsmith. I spoke with the folks over at Ashley Outdoors and in order to install their product you have to remove the Moss bead and drill out the hole and thread it for a Remington size bead. I'd like to avoid this if possible. Thanks for any advice.

I don't know for sure what the screw size of the Mossberg bead is, but it is smaller then 6-48. (It may be 5-40) There are various tritium beads on the market, but I think most of them have a 6-48 thread.
If you have any mechanical aptitude, you should be able to install one of these sights, but it would probably be more cost effective to have a gunsmith install one if you don't have the tools. (#31 drill, 6-48 tap, drill motor, file, etc.) |
