Maverick 88 Forend?

Why are there no tactical forends for the 88? Every website that has tactical shotgun parts all say "will not fit maverick".I want a front pistol grip style and don't want to rig one.

The action bars on a Maverick are molded into the forearm. The Mossberg has a slidebar assembly that the forearm attaches to. Not to worry though, the Mossy slidebar assembly will fit on a Maverick so you can use M500 forends.
