Scope Question

I have a Savage 110 (.30-06)and want a good scope for informal target shooting.( I don't hunt) Would the Nikon team Primos 3-9X40 scope be good for 100 to 500 yd. shots?? I'm new to the scope thing so any help and/or suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The Team Primos is a really good hunting scope but it's not a target scope. For that I'd spend a few more dollars and buy a Weaver V16 4-16x42. It's not quite in the same league as a Team Primos but it's fine for what you want.
