I am thinking of getting one in 223 any thoughts on quality
will be buying site unseen.Hope this is not to OT.

Charles Daly is no longer importing those rifles. They are Remington 799 or 798'd now. Check both companys web sites.

I've used the C,Daley actions and they are fine actions - I've never used a mini. but I suspect the quality is great - I think they are made at the same plant.
Check the Ron Shirk fliers and ads - they may have some left before Remington got all of them - the fact that Remington is using them is a good commentary!
