BEWARE of member Bulwyf!

Hello everyone,

I wanted to take a few minutes to warn everyone of member Bulwyf. He contacted me in reference to a WTB add I placed months ago, said he had a few magazines I was looking to buy. We pm'ed back and forth a few times and made a deal. I would pay half up front and the other half upon delivery. Well after I sent the first half by PP, he never responded to me again. I sent pm's asking about tracking info after a few weeks to get nothing from him in return. He has been a member for almost a year and even though he had a low post count I went ahead with the deal in good faith. I'm out $35 so its not the end of the world. I am more concerned with the Colt rifles he had for sale and did not want anyone to get taken. The info listed below is all I could put together about him.

Did you send the payment as a "gift" via PayPal?
If so... lesson learned.

If not, file a complaint! (If it isn't too late.)

I never send "gifts", any more. If I use PayPal for goods - especially from sketchy parties - I calculate what I have to pay to cover the fees, and add it to the payment - just so I can file a complaint if there's a problem.

Good to know. I saw that ad for the Colt rifle, looked like a good deal. Now I know! I wonder, if that ad is still up, should a mod message Bulwyf to inquire before someone responds to it?

It isn't. I deleted it as soon as I heard from smee78. Bulwyf still hasn't returned to TFL to clear up the problem.
