357 sig

Anyone reloading 357 sig's with any luck? All the bullets are coming out over oal. Would like to load lead. Anyone know where to get it? I know I can get jacketed from Sierra for 1k for $65. Any other sources?

That's why God made .40 and .357 barrels swapable in most pistols.

I would think that at .357 Sig velocities lead (and even some harcast) might pose leading problems, maybe not the real hard hardcast. Ever considered electro-plated...you can buy these bullets like Rainiers pretty cheap. I picked up some at the gunshow last weekend for $47/1K. They seem to be accurate and don't foul excessively. Just a suggestion.

I've just started reloading and the 357 sig is my first cartridge. For OAL I've been using 1.135 as my ideal length. Some of my rounds have been as long 1.145 and worked fine in my guns (Glock 31 and 32). My equipment consists of a Lyman crusher II with RCBS dies. The bullets I've been using are Hornady 124gr FMJ/FP. I'm going to try Berry's 124 flat points at $43.49 per 1000 delivered. Good luck.

Please be careful and observe ALL safety rules when handloading the 357 SIG. It is one high-pressure serious-business MO-FO cartridge.

I use FP 124gr plated bullets (no bbl fouling!) and Accurate #7. I made a couple of too hot loads, but other than that it has been a painless process. Berry's is also on my list to try.

I use Montana Gold for practice and Hornadys for carry in 357 Sig. They (115 JHP) are $190.00 for 4000, delivered.

I've had good results with Rainier 124 Grain PFP bullets and PowerPistol in my .357 Sig practice reloads. The Rainiers run right around $45/1000.
Work up loads carefully, particularly OAL. Watch for signs of over pressure. A little change in this round makes a big difference.

The plated West Coast and Rainier 124 grain flat points work really well.

I have successfully used Oregon Trail laser cast hard silver bullets in the flat point 122 grain style. Seemed to work very well.

I have some 357 Sig reloading info at my site.
