hevishot t-shot ok thru std mossberg?

Seems like I've asked something like this before, but be patient w/ me.

Can I run Heavishot t-shot thru bamaboys Mossberg 835 with say a modified tube (factory) and not damage the tube or barrel?

Seems like I was advised in my Rem for a hevishot approved choke, but the Mossberg modified should be bigger (backbored and overal more open).

If it can handle steel shot, it can take any other type. The 835 is designed for heavy steel loads. Pattern it to determine which choke gives optimum performance.

You can run it through a full choke if you wish.

It is in the X Full and XX Full turkey chokes that you are relegated to lead only.

I have an 835 that is 20 years old...it has seen lots of steel and a fair amount of the tungsten types over the years.

Like Big Al said, pattern it....the chokes were made for certain shot sizes and things change when you change material and shot size. My factory Mod tube is mod for Steel BB & #2 (so it says). It shoots close to full with Tungsten types.

ok

Sounds pretty good. Seems like I'd asked previously about hevishot but could not recall what I was exactly told.

My plan is to run the "Dead Coyote" t-shot load thru the 835, with the mod choke. I believe I have a flush fitting full as well, not quite sure where......?
Which ever seems more deadly at 50 yds or so will be the user.

In any event, I hope to use this set up on 'yotes in the woods....dang things seem like there everywhere.....cutting up not 100 yds from the house tonight.

About a year ago nearly lost my yellow lab to the varmints.
