M2 Slug Barrel

I already own an M2 and was considering buying one of their alternate rifled slug barrels, which go for about 540 bucks.

Will shooting slugs out of this gun--with all their recoil--shorten its life? Will the recoil kill me?

You can shoot reduced recoil slugs... if you're sensitive to full power. I really don't see slugs shortening the life of the gun. There's folks out there (not me

) that have 100,000 rds through their M1s, M2s and variations... still ticking.
