Here are some names and phone numbers in Alpine, Texas, for hunting:

John Kuenster (915) 837-1434; (915) 940-2577 Cell. Mule deer.

Rocky McBride (915) 837-3134. Mule deer, antelope, lion, javelina.

Spriggs Boot & Saddle Shop (915) 837-7392.

Eddie Havens (915) 837-1921 Day; (915) 837-7471 Evening.

I have not talked to any of them, and know nothing of the types of operations they run--nor costs. The McBrides have long been associated with professional mountain lion hunting.

Check now; the fall of the year is way too late! Texas mule deer season always begins the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and runs for a total of 16 days. Limit one buck.

FWIW, Art

Hey Art, I dug this one up and thought it might be some good contact information for some on here looking for places to hunt. I know it's old, but do you have any idea if the info. is still good?

Well, the Spriggs shop is still there. I don't have a clue about the others. Somebody at Johnson Feed, 432-837-5792, might find a business card on the wall.

Maybe the Alpine Chamber of Commerce? 800-561-3735.

The Sproul Ranch has a hunting-guide ad in the Yellow Pages: 432-426-3151. I don't know anything about their deal.

Very personable people and a true hunting experience.
We have hunted with them 3 times and have enjoyed it immensely.

Mulies, whitetail, javalina, lion, Aoudad, boar, predator, you name it they have it.
