Lube on Cast Bullets
I think I remember someone posting here a question about the lube on cast bullets falling off. Can`t find that post anymore. I bought some cast bullets and the lube fell off part way on a bunch of them. Does this effect anything? Do you do anything to replace it?

I'm no expert, but I would say that it depends on what caliber they are and how fast you push them. Some slow .45 bullets? I'd shoot them, or mix them in ammo boxes with other bullets most of which have full lube on them.
Screaming .44 mag bullets? Probably not worth the risk of leading up the barrel.

Depends on what kind of lube it is. If is is Lar's Red, don't worry about it. Shoot them.
Get a small bottle of liquid alox. Dip the bullet in there and let it dry out. Sort of messy but will at least be lubed. |

I just lube mine with toilet bowl sealing ring wax. It's soft and sticky and will never fall off. Works well with black powder too.
