I know this is a "rifle" forum but as far as bullpups go I've found my KelTec KSG about as perfect for home defense as a shotgun can be. The main feature is that its short OAL allows me to spin 180 in a tight hallway if needed. I'm not convinced of the practicality of .223 or .308 for HD although I like the idea of compactness for all other purposes. If the RDB came with optional chamberings I'd be all over it.

One of these days hope to get a chance to shoot various bull pups. Would have the same concern about using them for home defense as i have about AR's, the sight line is far above the bore line. Am not a rural dweller and any home defense distance for me would be short. Have learned to deal with AR open sights up close, but for "home" defense keep a short lever handy. Close up, just look over top of the barrel.
