Question about the Hi Power.

OK just for clarity I don't have a Hi Power- which is why I have the question. I was watching an episode of "Forgotten Weapons" and he was showing the internals of it and there was something I didn't understand. I understand the sear to trigger connection through the slide, but how does that mechanism disconnect the trigger from the sear after firing?

If anyone could explain I'd appreciate it.

The trigger link that interfaces with the bar in the slide is spring loaded and pivots. After firing the trigger must be released to allow the trigger link to return to the position where it interfaces with the slide bar.

The magazine disconnect also interfaces with the trigger link and won't allow the link to align with the slide bar without a magazine in place.

The bar in the slide is a lever. And you have to release any trigger for it to reset.
The magazine disconnect moves the trigger lever so it won't contact the sear lever.
There's an exploded drawing, that doesn't really help as it doesn't show how the parts relate, here. https://www.gunpartscorp.com/gun-man...i-power?page=5
The factory manual doesn't help either, but they're here in free .pdf format. Note the need for the provided UN & PW. http://www.biggerhammer.net/manuals/
