stainless steel tornado brushes
Being stainless steel will the tornado brushes do any harm to your barrel ?

No, but it won't do it much good, either. The coil of coiled wire doesn't get down in the grooves very well. I think a .40 or .410 Tornado is a great revolver cylinder brush, though.

I use stainless steel bristle brushes for my guns. If they do any harm it would certainly have shown up by now after nearly fifty years or so.
I use the correct bore size with Hoppe's No. 9 sauce. Bob Wright |

I use them only in my shotgun, and then, with a patch around the front half.

No problems to date !!
I save my Tornadoes for cleaning some really nasty barrels and they do a great job. Most of the time, I don't use them and instead use the standard brush and patch cleaning. I can honestly say that I have never had any issues with a Tornado .....

I've never used them but, to be honest, the idea of steel on steel in terms of potential undue wear, troubles me a little.
