That's kind of like asking which kid or which ex-wife is my favorite...

I have quite a few handguns, my first good quality gun was a Ruger Single-6 back in 64. I still have it but shortly after getting it I got a S&W K22. I would say that has to be my favorite handgun. I have got more use out of it over the years than any other. I have the
full meal deal of S&W revolvers in K&N all P&Rs and a couple dozen other top shelf pistols.
I like them all and they are all shooters or they would have went down the road.

I have a small collection of handguns. My new Glock 45 is pretty sweet for a personal defense weapon. But when it comes to just having fun, my Ruger Black Hawk Hunter with 44 Specials in it is pretty fun and my Ruger single six lets me imagine what it was like in the old west so that's pretty cool. Shoots really well although I'm not the best at fan firing yet.

I also have a Kimber Custom II Stainless 1911 .45 ACP because everybody should have a .45 right? It has an RMR and Laser grips, shoots like a tack driver in the right hands and will definitely get the job done but it's not my favorite.

My pocket guns (Sig P238 and Glock 43) are not a lot of fun because they're small and I have huge hands. They will get the job I may (god forbid) need them to do but not much fun. In retrospect, I guess that's a good thing.

My S&W model 67. Fits me perfect, great trigger, very accurate and ultra reliable. Rides with me every day.

This is a HARD question!!!!!

I have played this game with myself a few times.

One issue I've run into is 'favorite' vs 'last handgun I'd give up'.

Last handgun concept always comes down on one of three, due to the availability of .22lr conversion top ends, and other conversion barrels/options: equaling at least 2 calibers from one handgun.

Other factors that weigh on it are price of ammo and availability.

HOWEVER.

If I was only allowed one TRUE FAVORITE- for the fun of shooting it, and caliber/stopping power/cost of maintenance/etc were not concerns- only FAVORITE to use, it would have to be:

Darn it...

I am still torn.

Hmmmm.

I REALLY can't decide.

I guess it would change based on day of week, time of day, star alignments.

Tonight, I would probably go with my Browning Buck Mark Plus Nickle.

Ask me tomorrow, and I'll tell you something different! [BHP, 1911 and Colt model Three-Five-Seven are up there!].

My C Series Browning Hi Power. One of the comfiest 9mm pistols I've ever held and shot. My wife shoots it better than I do, but she enjoys the low recoil of the all steel pistol.

It's a tossup between my .45 ACP 1911 and my 44-40 Uberti/Cimarron model P.

Smith Wesson model 624 6 inch
It’s hard to choose

Mine is doubtless my Redhawk 4.2” in .44 Mag.

It is accurate, fun to shoot, fun to load for. It just gives me more than my other handguns, as good as they may be...

Typically

It's the one I am shooting at the time. I have no favorites, but do have a fair number of handguns.
If it's ultimate iron sight accuracy, the Supermatic gets the nod. If it's electronic sights, the Ruger Mk.3 hunter.

Now for power, different choices. A big thump? The .44 mag Contender very lightweight so bites at both ends. If I want one that "thinks" it's a rifle the CZ 52 comes out to play. Have not shot my recently acquired .357 SAA clone, that one kinda fits in here.

Have lots more autos vs. wheel guns....but either the SAA or my Taurus 94 for plinking.

Actually I do have a favorite.......all of them. We need the right tool for the job at hand.

That'd be my Dan Wesson VBob in .45 ACP.

Though my Sig P226 Legion SAO is quickly catching up.

Quite a few of the Hi Power fans, which is fascinating because, while very nice in the hand, my MKIII is an indifferent shooter due to heavy, sloppy trigger (even with the mag safety removed).

My wife does not like mine one bit, and it doesn't even slide bite her (like it does me). She has small hands and prefers my SIG P229 with E2 grip, and shoots it well. Or, better yet, her Ruger Vaquero.

Probably my original favorite, my HK USP Match 9mm Stainless.

More sentimental value to me than being my best handgun.

A lot of handguns have come and gone but I would say my favorite ever is my SIG 226. Followed by my W.C. GP 100!! I will never let these 2 go.

IF I could only keep one gun, I suppose it would be my G19. However, my favorite is my Ruger SR22. It was affordable, it fits my hand comfortably, I shoot it accurately, .22LR is cheap, and CCI minimags keep it running well. (I've had 1 FTF in last 500 rounds). This is what I shoot the most.

I like my FNP40 best, fits my hand, da/sa, my thumb catches the decocker at the perfect distance, takes virtually everything I have run through it but for American Eagle fmj which I quit using years ago. I have Sig P229s also. Excellent shooting but the decocker is just a little harder to reach naturally and I have to stretch to get to it.

A six-inch S&W 657. Why? The accuracy and shoot-ability is just......breathtaking.

Okay, some people gave more than one answer. lol.

As of this date:

For CCW - HK USP 9 Compact. Only modification is the nickel plated sear spring.

For nightstand/work-related stuff (gun shops or depending what security gig I pick up) is my MK25(P226). Mods are Gray Guns Flat Trigger, SRT trigger kit, and Wolff 17lbs hammer spring. It has a threaded barrel and sports a Surefire X300U.

Honorary mentions are the Glock 19 Gen 3, when I'm working with someone that carries the same guns for magazine interchangeable reasons.

FNX-45 Tactical FDE with the threaded barrel, Vortex optic, FDE Surefire X300U.

Easy choice: my old S&W Chiefs Special 9. Was small, light, pointed naturally, light recoil, accurate as all heck, and had a beautiful trigger. The one gun I regret trading. I was in a financial pinch, I traded it for a transmission for my wife's truck. I've since tried to buy it back. The current owner refuses to part with it

My 9 Shield. I have more powerful handguns, more accurate handguns and more fun handguns. But that Shield is so slim and easy to carry, it's accurate enough and it's surprisingly fun to shoot for a little 9mm. The only modification it has is a Talon Grip, which makes it a little thicker and it feels a little more controllable. This is more of a utility pick than a emotional one.

CZ P-01. The first centerfire handgun I ever bought. Loved it then, and it's remained king of the hill since then... despite many, many contenders to the throne haha.
