But what I have seen of wild horses was a corral full of BLM captures. You couldn't GIVE me one of those brumby nags, much less sell me one.
Although I'll admit that most wild horses aren't the best looking animal (I've seen lots of em when working in the WY oil patch) they can be very good horses if you get a good one and if it was "broken" gently. The Wyoming state pen. honor farm breaks them gently now (used to do it the old fashioned way) so I bet some good horses come out of there.

Also, the BLM adoption program has pretty specific corral/shelter requirements to avoid the situation reloader28 describes.

I've eaten a dog's heart. Dog meat actually tastes like pot roast.

Quote from Daddy

My Father, a wise man said, "Dogs and horses are not meant to be eaten, rodents and reptiles are not meant to be pets."
But he was smart enough he would not starve to death with horse meat available. One sure way to get hurt was to play around with any snake around my Father, he did not like them.

Pray and Shoot Daily.

Would I? Heck I'd stand in line! Give it to me thin sliced, dropped in simmering broth until just cooked through, and served with noodles and green onion.

No way. Cows are so dumb it's o.k. to farm them for food n stuff.

Horses are awesome , hell, you can ride them in new Orleans as your transportation. Just attach an empty tourist carriage or dress the horse in a costume. No one will even give you a second glance.

Poor horses man,

I wouldn't eat a horse I'd ride it to somewhere where I could get some food.
