New Benelli ghost rings?
The above picture is from Benelli's website. My Benelli M1S90 Tactical is an older import, as it still has the Heckler & Koch import markings. I noticed that the ghost ring "ears" on the rear sight appear different than my gun's sights. I'll see if I can't dig up a clear picture of my shotgun, but my question is: did Benelli recently (since 1998) change their ghost ring sights? Thanks! Justin |

Justin. Yep. The previous GR sights(Williams) proved to be fragile. The new design, LPA I believe, looks much more substantial. I run an M3 with rifle sights but in every shotgun class I have had with the old GRs on Benellis some have come adrift. It is encouraging to see the manufacturer paying attention. Rob

As substantial as the new LPA sights are, the fragile screws that hold them on are no better. I lost my LPA sight in a MN field last fall, when the screws snaped off on my 3 week old Benelli. Benelli replaced it under warranty though, and I love the gun, so I let this ripple slide.
