hopkins & allen manuf.co.
i recently aquired a single shot drop block full octagon barrel june 28 1885 rifel on the barrel it has made by hopkins & allen manuf.co. for wichonn u.s.a merwin/hulbert co new york u.s.a al sole agency (as far as i can tell) on side it says patent applied for on the top behind the site it has 32W.C.F.just wondering what caliber it was or how i would tell it looks a little biger then a 22 it might be 32-20 or a 32-40 & wondering if its worth any thing.is it rare?

How about some pics? Thats what's needed for any questions to be answered. You also call the gun maybe a "82 WCF" but that didn't exist, did you mean 32 wcf? If so, that is the same cal as 32-20.
