Another Inexpensive .22
![]() Picked up this Rossi .22 revolver for next to nothing. Was a 4 inch barrel, cut down to 3 inches. Looks like they did a nice job on it. Gun had original box and papers too.

Yes it does seem pretty slick. Is the front sight pinned in place? And what appears to be a T-grip to boot. Somebody spent a bit of money on that pistol.

That looks old enough to date to before Rossi was acquired by Taurus. Looks like a nice find.

3 inch barrel for a .22 LR wheelgun is IMO the sweet spot. You gain more sight radius over a snub, maybe a little more velocity, but you still have a pretty compact gun and whatever is gained in power with a lower barrel isn't enough to justify the larger size.
Even with a chopped barrel that looks odd with markings cut off, that's not a bad buy. Good job.
