This is for the .32 Mag model, IDK if the same goes for the .357 Professional. It's a training thing, once you get use to it it works, but it's not ideal. Other than that, yup, a 3 inch 7 shot .32 Mag that weighs I think 22oz is about perfect.

My 2 cents, FWIW.
Have a 4" police bulldog in 38 sp. Was getting light strikes. Charter paid to ship it back. Single action is now about 95% reliable. Double action maybe 70%. Don’t feel like shipping it back again. Painted the top and bottom halves of the front sight different colors, have to line up where they meet with the top of the rear sight for accuracy. |

I've had the 44 Bulldog & the 8 shot Pathfinder. If you are used to S&W K-Frames it will be a real stretch to find happiness.

Charters
I have two both in 44 spl. The 2.5" I bought new in 2008 and it is one of my favorites. Accurate and very comfortable to shoot. I load it hot but not +P and it has done fantastic. My only grip was at the range one day I shot something like 30 to 35 of these hot rounds in a very short time and noticed the cylinder start to drag. After it cooled it was fine. I used it to take my carry permit class.
The other is a 4.2" I really haven't done much with it because I haven't found a load it seems to like. It does like lighter weight bullets though I can tell you that much. |

I own a CA "Pink Lady" in 22 WIN MAG, it is flawless and hits what I point it at. Great gun for the money!
