I went to the TMLRA fall shoot and this followed me home.
Now my Ten-Ring percussion target pistol has a companion.
I'll see how it shoots tomorrow on the flintlock pistol match. |

I was at Friendship one time about 1991 on the pistol line and a older guy
had a "10 Ring" percussion in the box with papers laying on the bench in front of the pistol shack. It had a For Sale sign on it. I talked to him and he said he wanted 100.00 for it. I didn't have a extra hundred on me at the time. I picked it up and played with it for about 20 min. then laid it back down and another guy came along and bought it. I always wondered if 75 would have bought it. Bet it would have. Somethings you regret. |

Quote:
It was cold and drizzly this morning and I had a string of failure to fires, and when it finally went off, I put the ball in the edge of the target. Not my best score. That'll teach me to start a match without a fresh flint in the gun. The more I shoot flintlocks, the more I understand why some of the Injuns kept their bows and arrows. Quote:
My pistol shooting really stank this shoot but it looks like I won the short range trap aggregate. I may have the open offhand rifle agg too but you never know until all the targets are turned in. My offer to lend you one of my extra shotguns still stands. |

BLE
This is not to brag, but to inspire you. Shooting a Flint pistol is different,
but it can be mastered. Here is the target and my Flint pistol. Look at the target and tell yourself, "I can do that" and go forth and DO IT! |
