I would like to reload some light target loads for my wife. She has a S&W J-frame 357 and I recently bought some 141 grain SWC bullets. Can anyone recommend your favorite load?

Gee, Paul, now you've got me thinking. Well, here goes.
Bill, I routinely load up a 115 gr swc or a 125 gr rnl over 4.0 gr of 700-x for my wife and now my 13 year old daughter who will be starting plate shooting this spring. I use 357 mixed headstamp brass. My pet load for the indoor PPC league is a 158 gr swcl over 3.2 gr Bullseye in 357 brass. I haven't use 38 brass in years. Everything goes in 357 brass. If I were to use a 141 gr swc, I would try 4.0 gr 700-x or 3.5 gr Bullseye. ------------------ johnnyb A slow hit beats a fast miss. |

I've never used a 141 grain bullet, but for a 148 grain DEWC I've built accurate light loads with 4.0 grains of Bullseye.

I don't post loads over forums either, but 2.7 grs Bullseye over a 148 WC in a .38 case is the Bullseye load. Everybody knows that so I'm not giving up anything.
Very accurate, very light recoil, cuts great holes for target/scoring and a dandy small game load. |
