Savage 64 series help!!!
Hello just want to say that im a new to the forum and I would like to thank anyone in advance for anything that they contribute. I have a savage arms 64 series rimfire rifle i would like to know if there is any way I could buy a new magazine assembly that would let me use a different type of magazine rather than the factory mag. The one that came with my rifle the feed lips are worn out and the mag is useless now. I have looked for a new mag but they are rather hard to find and many of the websites that have them look questionable and rather expensive for an oem mag. If any one has anything to add thanks again I look forward to any advice given.

Here you go, 10-shot magazine for a Savage 64, from a reputable dealer, in stock, ready to ship.

22 rifle mags are almost all surprisingly expensive.

This place is a little cheaper and reputable. They are also fast shippers. I see these mags at Walmart every now and then for $10. With a little searching you can also find them around $14 and I often find these mags in old magazine boxes at gun stores. These mags are popular and often sell out quickly but they are common and with a little patience and persistance you will come across several at a reasonable price. At least that's the way it went for me when I was looking for them. Last edited by candr44; July 22, 2009 at 08:15 PM. |

I too am new here. Also, new with a Savage 64, .22 cal semi auto. Actually just got it today. Purchased an extra 10 round mag at the same store and really sorry due to it costing me $17.98 + 9.75% sales tax. Then got home and hit the internet and found they are available from about $10 to $14 almost all over the place. Didn't mind to much since I got the Rifle for $131 with a 3 - 9 variable scope.
Now here is my question. Didn't notice this at the store but there isn't any normal, regular sights on the gun. Only the place for scope rings. While searching the internet, all the model 64's had those normal sights on them. Anyone know what I have? Why no regular sights? Is this some oddball version? |
