My dream: to owns a pre war Holland&Holland side by side .470 .... not that I have problems with rogue elephants destroyng the flowers on my back yard..... I just would like to have one to keep on a special cabinet to look at it and occasinaly take it out to bark.!
Had a chance to buy one 35 yrs a go, at the local gun-show, a beauty, heavily engraved, 2 sets of barrels, in the original wood case covered with rhino skin, belts and buckles closing, original tools with ivory and ebony handle, still a dozen of boxes of 20 cartridges each, plus the manuscrit pedegree of african animals taken with location and date... asking price 14.000..... I purchase a house instead. It turn out I did ok it was a better investment.!!!! |

- Pre 64 M70 .270 to replace the one I "lost" (good proximation of FN .270 my father had made in Belgium and W. Germany ca 1951 and heirloomed to--and stolen from--me years ago).
- Thompson 1928A1 "Navy" w/ 30 stick - Pre War Win 1894 .30WCF 24-26" round. I'm normally a carbine guy when it comes to levers, but this is one of those "if you could have only one" - do-all rifles that checks all the right boxes and the one you'd take with confidence to the hills. |

I'd like to shoot a Barrett 82A1. I know a guy that got to shoot one once, he was lying on a cement floor on a mat when he fired it. He says he and the rifle literally slid back a foot from the recoil!

CZ 550 in 6.5 Creedmore or Remington
These cartridges fascinate me. Been years I've wanted to build a rifle in this chambering. The only action that interests me anymore is the CZ550. I guess at some point I'll shoot out the barrel on this 308, and when I do, should I decide not to simply cut and rechamber the excellent cold hammer forged barrel which is on there already, maybe find a good Chrome Molybdenum Krieger or Obermeyer in 6.5.
I have no real use for any such thing, but it still seems like a fun project. |

My Dream Rifle is the Remington 1903A4 Sniper Rifle.
But I want one that I can shoot and not feel guilty about. Im really looking hard at the Replicas that have hit the market in recent years. I would like to have one of these as my Rifle, for Hunting, and Shooting. To me its the most awesome looking Rifle ever made. |

If I won the lottery the first 3 firearms I would almost imediately orderorder. A) shiloh sharps military carbine in 45.70 govt with the antique finish so the gun would seem to be a surplus rifle but safe to shoot. B) a shiloh buffalo style rifle in 45.110 with case hardened finish loaded to the max in options. C) a reproduction match lock musket custom built by the "rifle shop". Etc, etc, etc,

As mundane as it may seem the one rifle I'd LOVE to have is a CZ 452 Ultra-Lux with the 28-5/8" long barrel.
I just love them. |

With most of my needs, and wants in long guns complete there is one that I still long for. One that is not in the top of the price range for it's category either.
Surbu BFG-50.

Barrett M82A1 would be my choice if I ever won the lottery. That and a couple thousand rounds.

I would love to own a Accuracy International AWSM in 338 Lapua, with a big Schmitt and Bender scope.
I think they are the nicest looking Tactical/sniper rifle and they have more than proven themselves as being reliable and accurate. Just waaaaaaay out of my price range. |

I wouldn't mind having a rifle chambered for one of the JDJ "Whisper" subsonic cartridges. They use a VLD (very low drag) bullet, and keep their momentum for very long distances. I suppose their only practical application would be by military snipers, or special forces, but it would be fun to own, and shoot at long distance without ear drum damage.

I've always wanted an original IMI Galil in .308. I just can't justify the prices of the ones on the market. The mark up is too severe.

I typically and into lever actions and pumps but there is one "tacticool" gun I would really like to own, that is a 50BMG. I don't care if its semiautomatic, bolt action or even single shot, is just some thing I have wanted since I was a kid. Just always had more practical guns to get.
