Gun Works Iron Sights

My buddy has an 870 Police that came from the factory with "Gun Works Iron Sights" (ghostring sights). I've never heard of this company. Are these sights any good? How would they compare with MMC, Wilson Combat, etc? Thanks, Sam

Iron Sight Gun Works are made by a company called RPM in Tucson. IMHO they are one of the best iron sights out there. They are very adjustable and are well made.

On closer inspection, the ring on the Gun Works Iron Sights are a reddish copper color, why? Everything on this sight except the ring is parkerized, why? Sam

why the reddish color?

Do other brands like MMC, Wilson, etc. have that same weird reddish color on the ring? What is the purpose? Sam
