Which gun rest would you recommend
455 here. I am fairly new at bench shooting and want a good gun rest. I have the rear bags and a home made front rest but want to graduate. I shoot a 6mm ppc and 250 sav which I handload for. Thanks.

Caldwell Leadsled ... works really well for 85 bucks. When I want greater stability I’ll bring a few bags of projectiles to drop in the center.
Also doubles as a cleaning station. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00359P0YY..._H1jkCbWW622WG |

Caldwell br works well for non-competitive shooting. I had the rock and its ok but tbe br is worth the extra $$ imo.

The Caldwell BR is what I use. If you want to get serious a Farley is a pretty good rest.

Sinclair (part of Brownells) has a variety of front rests available here. I use their lightweight front rest for informal target shooting, it's easy to transport to the range. Protektor, maker of popular leather shooting bags, has recently released a new rest. I have no experience with the Protektor rest, but it looks interesting.

I had shoulder surgery on my shooting arm, and couldn't tolerate the recoil of my center fire rifles. Bought a Caldwell Lead Sled, worked great for me to continue shooting. After healing I'm still using it 10 years later . hdbiker

A pedestal rest that weighs at least 12 pounds. I have a 12 pound Hart pedestal rest...though I'm looking for a heavier rest. Hart and Sinclair International have a variety of pedestal rests.

I only use a rest for sighting in and use sand bags and a cheap tripod.

Read the rules. A one piece rest may not be allowed.
