Another nice find

I was in a gun store last week checking out some inventory in the used section and I found something that caught my eye. I found a Winchester model 120 12gauge. Apparently this gun is a variant of the model 1300 and was produced from 1986 to 1988 with only 5000 being produced.. all this according to the info I found online.

This is my second model 120 that I’ve purchased in the last 10 years. The first one has a 24 inch smooth bore barrel with rifle sights. This latest find had a 28 inch vented barrel. I took it to my Gunsmith and had him cut it down to 20 inches and added some sling swivels to it. Aside from home defense, it’s truly a great clay breaker out in the field... at least for me.

This gun had very little use apparently. It still had the wood plug inserted and there’s is no wear and discoloration on the wood furniture or on the bluing of the slide rails or loading gate.

$350. out the door.
$170. At the Gunsmith for cutting the barrel down to 20 inches with a bead added and adding sling swivels.

Keep an eye on the safety. Some have been known to go "walkabout".
