Mossberg 590

Anyone have any experience with this gun? Is it any good? Any problems I should be on the lookout for? I've heard good things about it and also bad, I am hoping the good out weigh the bad.

Thanks

The onlt repetitive issue I have heard of is a batch of not perfect mag springs... It is a gun built on a great platform (500) but a bit beefier if it is milspec version.
Othewise excellent gun from a family run outfit with customer service in mind... BUY it or a 500 and don't look back!

I bought one for duty use several years ago and have had no issues whatsoever. I have seen many shotguns made by another company have serious malfunctions on the firing line but those may have been user error. Mine has always gone bang every time the trigger is pulled and it can keyhole all five rounds from 25 yards offhand.

bad springs, LOVE the gun. would not recommend the 20 inch option if you are short of stature or have shorter arms. would much prefer a remington 870 7 shot 18.5 inch or mossberg 500 18.5 in that case.
