Sightmark QD slides on rail when locked.

New to the forum, great info here...been a lurker for a while.

Bought a Maverick 88 as I have not owned a long gun for years, mainly a handgun owner.

Decided to dress it up a little and put a Sun Optics scope mount with a standard picatinny rail...so far ok. Got a deal on a Sightmark QD with a quick release mount and tried it out last night....got it set and clicked the lever to lock it and once locked it slides back and forth about a 1/4" or more....-CENSORED--CENSORED--CENSORED- !!

Anybody else have this problem....I am going to try it on a friends mossy 500 to see if its the mount or the scope.

I haven't put any rounds through it with the scope so I don't know it will affect it but it bugs the crap out of me !!

Thanks for the input.

I doubt you're going to find firsthand experience with a seldom used product

It obviously isn't working as it should, but since we cant see it, it's hard to say why

Maybe the mount would work better with a Weaver rail?
