holosight & redhawk?

Have a chance of getting a bushnell holosite at a reasonable price and was wondering how they would be mounted on my 44 redhawk? It has the ruger indentions for their rings.
thanks, varmint x

I would think there'd be some sort of adapter to mount a weaver rail onto the ring indentations on the Redhawks top rib. Maybe a little Google-fu would find something.

I've got a shooting buddy who has a Holosight mounted on a .500 S&W, so I'm sure it's a tough sight.

Ruger has quality, but proprietary, rings for the 7.5" Redhawk and 7.5/9.5 Super Redhawks.

The rings bolt directly to the frame and barrel cutouts, I think.

there are weaver type rails that mount directly to the ribbed barrel. i think the site is buymilsurp. less than 10 bucks.

the ruger rings also mount directly to the barrel, but are pricey( 30-40 bucks each!)
I have a set, somewhere, if youre interested.

I'm tickled pink with the Holosight on my Anaconda. Any gunsmith worthy of the name will know how to get one mounted on your SRH.

Thanks guys. I talked to the person that has the sight today and think he will back out. Oh well. I might try another type later like the tru-glo.
TPLUMERI, if they are reasonable send me a PM. Also i will try to find that site.
