Loose Winchester 94 buttstock
The buttstock of my Winchester 94 (.44 Mag) is loose (about 1/8" fore+aft, up + down) despite a very tight tang-screw. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Rob. I've tightened several stocks on old Winchesters with shims made from old credit cards or a piece of plastic from a Crystal light container. FWIW. That stuff makes great shims that hold up a lot better than old business cards, and they're waterproof.
