Disassembly Reassembly of Winchester Model 290

Would you happen to have disassembly and reassembly instructions for the Winchester Model 290? My friend had one in his basement and it is pretty badly rusted but the wood is gorgeous and has basketweave type checkering. I can't figure out how to get the fore-end off and I can't get the magazine tube out. I think it is held tight by rust. I would normally say just pitch it but the wood is so beautiful, it is worth at least trying to save. My e-mail address is: [email protected].
Thanks, John Wilson

Win 290

Hi. I have Winchester's takedown instructions and would be glad to copy and snailmail them to you if you want to send me your address. I refinish guns for a living, and suggest you start by removing the wood then soaking the gun for a couple of weeks in korosene or diesel fuel. you can email me at [email protected]

Winchester 290 Assembly/Disassembly

I recently purchased replacement stock & forearm for a Winchester Model 290. I would appreciate a copy of the takedown instructions to aid in installing. (Email @ [email protected])
thank you
