Easton Rifle Co. Perfection .17 swift??????

Hello everyone, My brothers father-in-law gave him a rifle, the barrel is stamped, Easton Rifle Co. Perfection .17 swift. Has anyone ever heard of or know anything about the .17 Swift, I have looked all over for something about it and can find nothing. Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.

Not hard to guess what it is, probably a 220 Swift pulled in to 17 caliber. Probably an attempt to beat the 22 Eargesplittenloudenboomer for the most ridiculously overbore cartridge.

I used to love being able to hit hard at 1000 yards. As I get older I find hitting a mini ram at 200 yards with the 22 oddly more satisfying.

How many shots before you burn the rifling out of the barrel?

Maybe 50????
