A Couple of new to me Revolvers today

The local gunshop (Collectors Firearms) here in Houston posted these last Wednesday, I knew I had to have them.

The first is a 1997 Uberti 7th Cavalry model .45 LC. It looks almost as-new. The second is a S&W hand Ejector .38 Special from the early '20s. It has some knock around wear but the action is tight and locks up like new. The cylinder barely has a turn ring and the bore looks excellent.

The S&W Model of the 1905 4th change is the more valuable of the two and the better revolver. Check under the right stock and see if it is serial numbered to the revolver. It will be stamped in the wood on the underside of the stock.

Howdy

Very nice Uberti. I have one that is almost its twin with the exception of the Ainsworth cartouche on your grip. I believe mine was made about the year 2000.

The Smith is also very nice. The grips are in beautiful shape and are correct for guns made in the about 1920 to about 1929 time frame. What is the barrel length on that one, is it 5"?

Do you mind sharing what you paid for them?

The S&W has a 5" barrel. I paid $385 for the S&W and $475 for the Uberti. The Cavalry model Uberti SAA has been at the top of my list since I bought my Navy Arms Uberti 5.5" SAA. Because of that, I did not mind paying a bit more than I should have for it.

I agree on the S&W. It looks to be in very good condition. It will do nothing but go up in value. There is just something very wonderful about those old 5 screw's in both looks and the joy of shooting. I have one that was shipped on Nov. 19, 1929. Wish it looked as good as yours, but alas it has a little more character.
