Anyone have any experience with a Sig P227, .45?
Yep, a great gun, expensive as any Sig is, but accurate and feels good in the hand...(size L gloves).

Son #2 carries one every day, is a good shot, hell a great shot, and has dispatched woodchucks on our farms out to 60 yards with it. The DA/SA feature takes some getting used to, a training issue for sure, but doable. In his case, trained as a USMC MP on the M9, the DA/SA operation was a non-issue. HTH's Rod

Hi, Looking for a good semi-auto 45.
I have more than a couple of .45 ACP autos, including a Colt Gold Cup and a SIG Model 227, but my absolute favorite is a Smith & Wesson Model 945. They aren't cheap and can be hard to find but worth the search and every penny paid imo.

Great info, Rodac and others, the Sig P227 is definitely on my list of possible future purchases.
