Sickening sound...

I just dropped about 700 spent primers on a hardwood floor. Well, I had nothing to do for the next half-hour anyway!

Put on some work boots and pretend it is bubble wrap!

I did that once. Luckily I was in my garage and could just sweep them up.

Between the broom and the vacuum cleaner, I got them up quicker than I thought I would. I was amazed at how far some of them bounced/rolled, though!

You will find them for months, one at a time.

I've never done that yet. Thanks for the warning. I will be more careful in the future.

Does anyone use a drop cloth under their loading work area?

The primer dump tube from my LnL goes right into my trash bucket. No fuss, no muss, and never any spillage.

That is, unless I accidentally and unknowingly pull the dump tube off with my knee while sitting at the press . . . those primers don't make a lot of noise when they hit the floor, at least compared to the noise the case feeder makes when running

Been there done that. I now use the shop vac to suck them outta the tray instead of trying to remove it. Gives me a good excuse to suck up the loose powder and tumbling media spread across the bench and floor also. Works great for gettin all the fine debris that falls outta the cases when being decapped. What I really hate is the sound of that one live primer that falls to the floor and rolls to only the good Lord knows where.

You could have dropped about 700 live primers on a hardwood floor.

I've dropped a few live primers, kinda freaked me out! I keep a couple of beach towels spread out under foot. Those things go like jumping beans on my garage floor.
