I am wondering any difference between 590 and 590 A1. Are the the same? If not, what are the differences.

The 590A1 is the mil-spec version. It has a heavier barrel. Some of the parts that are plastic (trigger guard and safety) on the 590 are metal on the A1.

In addition to the afforementioned metal parts, I believe the A1 has a thicker barrel. A very nice piece in my opinion.

Mine's a 6-shot 18.5in., "bantam" stock, Vang Comp'd. With the heavy barrel, the 9-shot 20in. 590A1 is a little heavy.
