.300 H&H Semi-auto?

Getting an idea here for a possible custom build. Does anyone currently make or made a semi-auto rifle (Browning style comes to mind) in .300 H&H caliber? I know there's a bunch of other calibers available with similar or better performance but that's not the idea here. Thoughts?

The 300 H&H requires a full magnum length (375 H&H) action. A standard 30-06 action will be a bit short. I can't think of a semiauto that's long enough.

300 Win Mag is about as close as you'll get.

You could modify a Serbu BFG-50A for that puny little cartridge.

The case length is 2.850"(.356" longer than a .30-06) with a .532" case head diameter. And the .300 H&H isn't exactly common. Runs around $3 a shot from Midway. Hence there's no demand for semi-auto magnums.

If you are looking for an impractical engineering exercise, make it belt fed.

Speaking of belts, the belted cartridge also makes magazine design extra fun.

You can get close with a Merkel SR1 in 9.3x62.

I'd look over Nemo Arms' stuff. If they can make an AR inspired semi in .458 Win Mag and .338 Lapua, I'd figure action length would not be a problem.
