help older auto 5 loaded incorectly

Need help, loaded older auto 5 without one in the chamber. I read online that one needs to be loaded into the chamber prior to load the magazine. Cannot get bolt to cycle. A shell is lined up to feed under the bolt but... Is there some way to fix this without taking it apart? thanks in advance.

Are you saying the shell is jammed and you can't cycle the bolt?
edit: Or, is your problem that you can't get the bolt to move forward while the shell is in the receiver? If this is the case you just have to push the bolt release button that is at the front of the receiver.

Yes, I loaded two shells into the magazine and now the bolt will not cycle to carry the shell into the chamber. The bolt move about 1/2 way and is stopped. It feels like it is hitting the shell under it.

With the weapon pointed in a safe direction, flip it upside down so you are looking at the loading gate...

What part of the shell is visible in the gap between loading gate and mag tube?

You should only be seeing the head and rim (a little over half inch of the shell)...

If you see more, push the loading button, and gently see if you can slide the shell back 'forward' into the magazine...If you can move it forward, hold it and then release the shell...It should now look as I described earlier...

There should be no issue whatsoever with loading shells into the mag with the bolt closed...

can't you place the muzzle on a pad and push down on the gun to cycle the action?
