Small primers

Last night I was priming some cleaned 223 brass. After the first 50 or so rounds I realized I was using small pistol primers and not small rifle primers.

So, I need help deciding what to do with them. Is it possible to shoot these? Any problems with removing a live primer?

Any advice and help is appreciated.

I would not shoot them. Pistol primers are not made for the pressure of rifle rounds. Depriming live primers can be done if you are careful, use eye and ear protection.

Pop them out slowly then use them in a pistol.

You can remove the primers if you do it slowly. I agree to making certain you have safety glasses or other eye protection and hearing protection while doing this. You might not have a reason to put the safety stuff to the test but the other way isn't good. I have loaded many primers I removed from cases and they worked just fine.
