Auto loaders, how light?

Read the other day, and I don't remember where, maybe Speers manual, that the best load for accuracy for an auto is one that just barely ejects the casing and cycles the action. Any thoughts?....................ck

My guess is the reasoning behind this is it would have the least amount of muzzle flip? But there is much more to an accurate load than powder charge.

That's not been my 45 years experience. I find the most accurate loads somewhere around 80-90% of max. Remember that the gun is designed to run at max loads. Most of the factory ammo will be loaded to max. They would not be loading to inaccurate specs or nobody would be shooting factory ammo with any positive results.
