I have a mini 14, I much prefer the accuracy of the AR. But the mini 14 is a fun gun to have, just for plinking... When you can find ammo.

I have and old .223 mini-14, it only has a folding stock. Is it worth upgrading to trigger or adding a scope? I don’t see many options and these older mini’s only shoot .223.
Nope. It’s a verified inaccurate ammo-waster.

Any suggestions on what to do?
Sure. Slap a label on it that sez: ”For Sale: Old School Mini-14 with folding stock - just like the A-Team used!”

Then put it on a table at your local Fun Show, along with whatever mags and other accessories go with it. Inside of an hour some droolin’ guber or fantasizing Fuddley who actually remembers the show will buy it.

Then take the proceeds and buy an uber-accurate 5.56 AR. You’ll be much happier.

I don’t shoot this mini that much.
You won’t miss it, trust me.

After a few range sessions shooting your most-awesome AR and actually hitting that little black bull, … well, you can thank me later.
